Yellow Pridiyathorn or
"Tontabebuya" (Tabebuia
argentea Britton) is a medium-sized
deciduous tree with yellow flowers,
native to different regions in South
America, including Paraguay, Argentina,
and Brazil. The tree belongs to the
genus Bignoniaceae and its flowers bloom
brightly in the early hot season, around
March to April every year. Believed to
be an auspicious tree that if planted in
any location, that place will prosper
and thrive. Therefore, it is often
planted in important government
institutions such as universities to
enhance prosperity for students,
faculty, and staff, enabling success in
education and work responsibilities.
When the "yellow Pridiyathorn"
blooms, it symbolizes the end of the hot
season break for students, a period of
happiness. You can see the beauty
