Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Nakhon Pathom Campus, actively participates in preserving and promoting Thai culture in collaboration with the surrounding community.

On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, Miss. Saowanee Kumnerdrat, Director of the Office of Nakhon Pathom Campus, Mr. Suttha Thuankerdpan, Director of the General Affairs Miss. Katcharin Thapthimthet, Director of the Academic Division. along with students and staff of Nakhon Pathom Campus Office, participated in the project to preserve the traditional “Tak Bat Klang Sai” (alms-giving on the river) and promote Thai cultural customs as part of the Loy Krathong tradition for Fiscal Year 2026. The event was held at Wat Makluea, Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province.The activity represented a collaborative effort between the university and nearby communities, fostering good relationships and cooperation through joint participation. It aimed to contribute to the preservation of local customs, traditions, and wisdom, while also ensuring the continuity of Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and beautiful traditions for future generations.

This project aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including  SDG 4 Quality Education – by providing learning opportunities that promote Thai culture, customs, and local wisdom to students and the community.  SDG 11  Sustainable Cities and Communities – by fostering collaboration between the university and local communities, promoting unity and participation in cultural activities. SDG 17  Partnerships for the Goals – demonstrated through sustainable cooperation between the university and the community in preserving Thai traditions and culture.
