"Yellow Pridiyathorn" or "Tabebuia" (Tabebuia argentea Britton) is a medium-sized deciduous tree, a species of exotic plants in the Bignoniaceae family that originated abroad in South America in Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. Its flower is yellow and will bloom in summer, around March - April of every year. It is believed that “Yellow Pridiyathorn” is a sacred tree that bring prosperity and fortune to the owner, so it is popular for government departments such as higher education institutions, and when "Yellow Pridiyathorn" blooms as a signal indicating the end of summer semester which is a time of happiness for students.
